After seven years as chief assistant district attorney in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, Karen Friedman Agnifilo left the office Friday and announced she is joining Geragos Global, where she will practice as an attorney in New York with the law firm Geragos & Geragos and also work with Mark Geragos’ hospitality division.
She talked with the Law Journal about the new role, her experience working with District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr. and her thoughts on the field of candidates currently running to be the next Manhattan DA. Vance has not yet said whether he will run for another term, though his limited fundraising with a handful of months left before the Democratic primary has left many observers believing the prospect is unlikely.
