Blackboard's Anti-Plagiarism and Anti-Cheating Tools
In addition to SafeAssign, Blackboard also generates an originality report. This report indicates the percentage of the assignment's text that may match other sources, helping instructors to root out any potential plagiarism.
The auto-save feature will save your responses when you add or update an answer. If you are not adding or updating answers, the auto-save feature will not activate and you may be timed out due to inactivity. Entering text in a text box (i.e. essay answers) is not considered an activity in Blackboard.
Both Essay questions and Short Answer questions are graded manually. With True/False questions, students choose true or false in response to a statement question.
As an instructor, you can see when your students opened, started, and submitted tests and assignments with the Student Activity report. In general, this feature looks and functions the same whether you're working in an Original or Ultra course.
Students and instructors can see that it's a proctored assessment by the assessment title. If you're using a timed assessment, the timer doesn't start for the assessment until the settings for the proctored services have been confirmed.
The straight forward answer to the question: Can Blackboard detect copy and paste is Yes. Blackboard has a tool called SafeAssign that checks if your work is similar to other sources. It's good at finding if you've copied stuff from the internet or other papers.

The student's audio/video and computer screen will be recorded throughout the duration of the exam. The session recording is then reviewed by a proctor from ProctorU.
Tests which are fully comprised of automatically gradable question types such a multiple choice and true/false require no action by the instructor to grade the test. You can view the scores and submissions through the corresponding column in the course Grade Center.
The application automatically distributes the 100% credit amount across the correct responses. For example, if a question has two correct answers, each is worth 50%.
