We are a non-smoking house, and have routinely serviced the car, getting an oil change at least once a year. We have treated the car well, and are looking to sell it privately. More information about purchasing is below, however, we are looking to get $10,000 for the vehicle, or best offer [OBO; depending on demand]. We are only accepting cash / cashier’s check. Recently we also had the car serviced at the end of January, spending over $2,000 to get the car: inspected, new battery, new brake pads and rotors, new oil filter, new front quick struts, and wheel alignment [included in photo in listing], so the car is ready to go and be owned! There is no lien against the car, and it is fully owned.

Back right tire could use new valve stem cap [$1 part], current one requires WD40 to get off;
Interior top left light occasional goes out, needs a new bulb likely [$5 for a new set];
Slight sediment and rust has built up around the rims and near front axle, this was likely caused from not driving the car for a few months last winter – I recently had the car serviced in January where they were able to resolve a good chunk of this, however, someone likely needs to take the rims off and scrub off any debris off to resolve slight scratching sound when driving [a certified dealership confirmed this is not a mechanical issue that makes the car unsafe to drive, it is more of a quality of life issue; also the tire photos above are front-left, back-left, back-right, front-right, in that order]

As of 05/13/2024, Edmunds is showing:
Dealer Retail:
Average $13,979 Clean $15,433 [average and clean refer to vehicle condition]
Kelley Blue Book [KBB] is also showing a similar value.
If a person goes onto a price conglomerate site, like Autotempest or Cars, this lines up with the lowest price Rogues with AWD listed in the United States of America, with less than 50,000 miles. Rogues with 20,000+ more miles than this are being listed at $13,500 - $15,500, making this car under market value by a few thousand. Even with all the slight knocks and concerns with the car [listed above], this is a great deal!

I will ask that if we go the route of cashier's check, that I will accompany you along to your bank to see them print the check. We will then go to my bank and deposit the cash / cashier's check, and then go to the DMV to complete the transfer of the vehicle [please see Next Steps below for more information]

Next Steps:

After I have fielded any questions via email and have vetted you as a credible buyer, we can definitely set up a time to meet! I will call you on your cell phone provided, and we can set up a time and date to see the car. The initial meeting will be conducted outside the Plattsburgh Police Station [45 Pine Street, Plattsburgh, NY] – this is non-negotiable; This is for the buyer’s and seller’s safety. We can use that time to test drive and answer any further questions about the car.
Once we have agreed on to buy and sell the car, we will meet some morning after to do three things:
1.] Deposit payment into my bank [local bank]
2.] Immediately go to the DMV on Margaret Street to re-title and re-register the car in your name, as well as process any misc. documents [i.e. title transfer]
3.] At the same time as step 2, complete a bill of sale document selling the car “as is.” This document is for the buyer’s and seller’s protection, and the DMV also likes this to be completed. This is a document I will provide and we can review together
